Elephants are the largest mammal on earth. Elephants are herbivores and prefer habitats that give them access to food an water. Two species of elephant, remain extant. There are Asian elephant and African elephant. Both of species consume as many as 300 pounds of food per day, There are key physical differences between Asian and African elephant.

Trunks and tusks?

Asian elephants are grazer. They consume whatever on the ground, such as grass.

African elephants are browser. They eat twigs and vegetation on higher level, like trees.

3. Third, the main reason why elephants are massively killed by poachers is their tusks.
